Estate Planning:
| Estate Planning is the act of making a plan to determine what happens to your property after you're gone. Under current law, most people do not have an estate that will generate any taxes at their death, however, about 10% of the population does need to be aware of tax considerations when they plan their estate. We will work with your tax planner to address these needs, where appropriate. When you meet with us to discuss your Estate Planning we will want to evaluate your assets, your income needs, your goals, your intended beneficiaries and who you trust to handle your estate when you are gone. Then we will help you devise a plan to achieve your goals while minimizing state and federal taxes. Issues to be considered in creating your estate plan may include guardians for minor children, trusts for preservation of assets and the manner in which your assets will pass to your heirs.
